چکیده
Electronic textiles belong to the broader range of smart (or “intelligent”) textiles. Their “smartness” is enabled by embedded or added electronics and allows sensing defined parameters their environment as well actuating according these sensor data. For this purpose, different sensors (e.g., temperature, strain, light sensors) actuators LEDs mechanical actuators) are connected with a power supply, data processor, internal/external communication.

متن کاملAn architecture for electronic textiles
This paper makes a case for a communication architecture for electronic textiles (e-textiles). The properties and requirements of e-textile garments are described and analyzed. Based on these properties, the authors make a case for employing wired, digital communication as the primary ongarment communication network. The implications of this design choice for the hardware architecture for e-tex...

متن کاملElectronic Textiles for in Situ Biomechanical Measurements
This paper describes the benefits of and issues in designing and building an integrated, body-worn electronic textile (e-textile) system capable of assessing a suite of biomechanical measures. Unlike laboratorybased systems, this system would be worn by a soldier and could be used in a range of environmental conditions. A prototype e-textile developed at Virginia Tech has already shown promisin...
متن کاملFault-Tolerant Networks for Electronic Textiles
Given the dynamic and harsh environments of electronic textile applications, particularly wearable computers and large-scale sensor networks, fault-tolerance is necessary. The interconnection network should route around faults in communication links and processing nodes. The mechanisms of error detection and route change decisions will be presented. Simulation results of the full network are re...
